As per the restrictions of the State Law, every driver is supposed to have automobile insurance. If you are driving without an automobile insurance, you may be fined. So one should always keep his automobile insurance, up to date. But if, for some reason, you have allowed your insurance to lapse, then you should expect to pay more, for a replacement insurance, only because the insurance companies will consider you to be a high risk driver.
